Reviewing

I currently work as an Editor for the UK-based reviewing publication A Youngish Perspective

I liaise with press contacts, proofread reviews, write interviews, post across all social platforms and conduct backend website maintenance.

I write reviews for both A Youngish Perspective and the global reviewing platform Theatretravels. I have written for all major festivals including Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Midsumma Festival. I have covered both local and international productions at Westend venues like Royal Court, Young Vic, Shakespeare's Globe, Royal Albert Hall and Lyric Hammersmith.

An avid theatre goer, I wrote my first review in 2015, which was published by Melbourne Theatre Company.

I then became a regular contributor to both The Dialog and Farrago, writing reviews for commercial, independent and student productions. In 2019 she became the editor of The Dialog, The University of Melbourne’s performance reviewing website.

“These productions have often been some of my favourite produced by the company, as they can afford to take more risks in script, actor and staging choices than in main stage productions.”

I have formed relationships with Melbourne’s largest festivals, reviewing acts for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, Midusmma Festival and Mudfest. This accompanied ongoing reviewing relationships with companies such as Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne Theatre Company, Bell Shakespeare and La Mama.

During this time I increased website traffic and reader engagement to an all time high, as well as posting the most reviews the website ever had since its creation. I have written a number of reviews, appearing in both The Dialog and Farrago Magazine.
